What is Earth Day?

earth with the different elements  Just like a birthday is a special day to celebrate a person, Earth Day is a special day that celebrates the Earth.  Earth Day was born on April 22, 1970, in San Francisco, California.  Every year, America and over 100 different countries join together in the celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd.  Earth Day is the largest, most celebrated environmental event worldwide.  Here are some great apps, websites, games, and printables to use on Earth Day!

The Mighty Spartan is Found!

We’ve been found!  An Irish Gentleman and his dog taking a stroll yesterday found our boat!  As you will read and see below, it is safe and sound and the plans are already in motion to connect with his 10 year old son’s school.  See more below to read the letter we received from Mr. Sean Creaven in Ireland.

2014-2015 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Abbott

balloons  We would like to congratulate Ms. Abbott for being nominated Central’s 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year!  Ms. Abbott teaches 4th grade math.  This is her 12th year at Central.


Lost and Found

Lost-and-found  Our lost and found is overflowing! Please ask your child to stop by the nurse’s office to retrieve lost items. Parents may also stop by and check our lost and found. Any items that are still in the nurse’s office as of April 2 will be donated to local charities.
