2015 L.F. Odyssey of the Mind Regional Results

OM Logo  First a big shout-out to our 4 Primary (K-2) Teams who kicked off the competition day.  They predicted and demonstrated wacky weather adorably.  They are the future of the OM program and it was great to see so many of the little ones excited for the day with their colorful costumes, weather maps and forecasting devices.  It’s a lot of pressure on a 5, 6 or even 7 year old to perform without assistance, and in most cases it was handled flawlessly.

We have 7 high school teams competing at States but “Good Job” to Teams Graves, Argo, Amory and Meadows who worked diligently to prepare 3 weeks ahead of time so they could receive practice scores yesterday from which they’ll be able to capitalize.

There were 87 Division I and Division II downstate teams scheduled to compete yesterday for their chance at advancing to states.  Unfortunately 6 teams either dropped out or didn’t show due to lack of preparedness.  So good job to all of our teams for sticking it out even when the going (and weather) got rough!

Of the 29 teams that advanced out of yesterday’s competition, 11 will be representing Lake Forest!  That’s an amazing showing.  Congratulations and keep up the good work to:
