The GPS is now “pinging” and picking up our signal. If you zoom in on the map you can see just how many times we have moved the GPS around on our grounds trying to get the signal to be picked up.

Please visit the website frequently and share it with our students.

The Mighty Spartan will remain on site through today and tomorrow before it goes off on its grand adventure.

Suicide Prevention

Suicide Prevention Understanding Youth Suicide: The Relationship Between Bullying and Suicide and What Parents Can Do To Prevent It.

This event is open to the public

Location:  Everett Meredith Middle School

When:  November 17, 2014 @ 7pm-8pm

In Delaware, suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people. In an effort to address this issue, Delaware Guidance Services, through a state-supported Garrett Lee Smith Suicide Prevention Grant, has been providing Suicide Awareness Programs for middle school students, as well as adults who work closely with youth throughout the state. In an effort to keep you informed with the most current information about youth suicide, how we can develop resiliency in our youth, and the relationship between bullying and youth suicide, we will be offering a parent presentation on Monday, November 17th at 7pm at Meredith Everett Middle School. The program will cover information such as understanding the myths and facts about youth suicide, recognizing the warning signs of suicide, what to do if you notice warning signs, how to talk to youth about suicide and suicide prevention, the relationship between bullying and suicide, and what parents can do to empower their children against bullying.
