Early CHOICES

Early CHOICES (Children Having Options In a Continuum of Educational Services) offers special education and related services for three year old children with devleopmental delays and three and four year old children with speech delays and provides support for their families.

Early CHOICES Offers community-based services including:

• Multidisciplinary developmental screenings and assessments
• Speech and language evaluations
• Consultation to child care providers
• Early childhood special education
• Speech therapy services ØFamily training and support

Early CHOICES has a strong family focus. We develop an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) of services for each child and also assist families in meeting the needs of their children and promoting their development.

About 300 preschoolers and their families take part in this program through contracts with seven school districts: Cape Henlopen, Capital, Colonial, Lake Forest, Laurel, Indian River and Woodbridge.
