Our mission at the Delaware Early Childhood Center is to identify and build on the strengths and interests of young children and families through partnerships, education, services, and supports in order to enhance their lives in the community. We apply principles of service that are:

• Family-Centered
• Strengths/Interests-Based
• Culturally Inclusive
• Community-Based
• Developmentally Appropriate

DECC has demonstrated its capacity and expertise to provide inclusive, family-centered and developmentally appropriate services for young children and their famlies, and functions as a resource to guide and advise the early childhood field in Delaware. Since DECC began, there has been a program-wide commitment to interagency partnerships, working as part of Delaware's communities in sharing the responsibility for the healthy development of Delaware's children and their families.

We have desinged this website to acquaint families and community members with our services and encourage them to become involved. Our programs change periodically, based on the needs of the communities we serve and available funding.
