Mrs. Brown grew up in Delaware County, PA (located about 20 minutes south of Philadelphia). She is an only child but married into a large family, as her husband Mr. Brown (not the teacher at LFHS) is the oldest of 5 children. Mrs. Brown attended Kutztown University and graduated with honors in May 2001. From there, she began teaching and served as a long-term substitute for 2 different school districts in PA. However, most of her teaching experience came from the William Penn School in Lansdowne, PA (located about 10 minutes outside of Philadelphia) where she served as the lead teacher for 9 years first the Twilight Program and then the Opportunities Center Program. Both of these programs focused on dropout prevention/truancy prevention.

Mrs. Brown met her husband at the Sandy Cove Campground in Sussex County Delaware when she was in high school and they have been together ever since. In June 2016 they celebrated their 15 wedding anniversary. They recently relocated to Sussex County Delaware from the home in Berks County Pennsylvania as they both enjoy the beach and the water. They also enjoy traveling, attending sporting events, participating in water sports, and spending time with family and friends. Their favorite teams are the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers. Mrs. Brown is an avid animal lover and has 2 dogs. She also was a horseback rider and spent many years competing in equation, show-jumping, dressage, and cross-country. In addition, Mrs. Brown loves to read just about anything she can get her hands on and has over 500 books at home.
