The Kent County Transition to Life Virtual Fair – The Amazing Race to Adulthood Promoting Successful Transition Outcomes for All

The 2021 Kent County Virtual Transition Fair is now open for registration.  This opportunity will provide information and resources to transitioning youth, ages 14-21 with IEPs, and their families to help plan for future employment, education/training, adult living, and overall wellness.   Everyone must register by March 28th.

Event Date:  March 30, 2021 @ 4-6pm

Registered attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a raffle to win door prizes.

LFHS Drama Club Presents – Little Women

The Lake Forest High School Drama Club is proud to announce their 2021 ON-DEMAND* Spring Musical, Little Women. Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March and their experience growing up in Civil War America. Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears, and a lifting of the spirit. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 8, 2021, at Instructions on how to watch the musical will be mailed out after ticket purchase (be sure to check your junk mail!) Attention Parents – Free Workshop Opportunity

The Delaware Department of Education is honored to offer a series of Virtual Parent Education Workshops entitled, “Parent as Coach, Developing A Family Dream Team”. Darrell “Coach D” Andrews, our facilitator, is a nationally acclaimed speaker, life coach, and is a father of four. Over the course of the next six months, Mr. Andrews will offer a series of virtual workshops in all three counties with hopes of motivating and providing parents with user-friendly strategies to assist them in maximizing their students’ overall academic success.

The first workshop, “Creating A Home Culture of Success Amid Crisis” will provide parents with powerful strategies for maintaining an effective balance for tasks such as remote/hybrid learning, work, and other family responsibilities. Below are the dates, including access information, for each county:
