January 17

Happy Sunday, Lake Forest High School families! We have a few announcements for you this evening. First, this Friday, January 22nd, is the end of the 2nd marking period and of the semester. Final grades will be the average of marking periods one and two. Please take this time to review your child’s academic progress and contact his/her teachers if you have any questions. On Tuesday, January 26th, the second semester begins with new classes. Please complete the survey with this message, indicating if your child will be remote or hybrid for the new semester. Tuesday, January 19th, is the Materials Distribution Event for the second semester. Click on the attachment associated with the text and email of this message to see if any of your child’s courses require additional materials. Likewise, if your child has any materials that need to be returned, you may also do this at this time. You will come to the main office to pick-up and drop-off materials. Next, seniors, LFHS wants to acknowledge your accomplishments. Please remember to send a picture of any college, trade or military acceptance letters, and any scholarships, to Mrs. Jacobs (Elizabeth.jacobs@lf.k12.de.us). The guidance department keeps track of your acceptances and scholarships, and recognizes them on Senior Awards Night. Looking ahead, underclassmen pictures are still scheduled for January 28 (Forest week), and February 4 (Lake week). More information will be sent as we approach this date. Finally, school is closed tomorrow, Monday, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Thank you and have a good evening.
