Principal White’s Message
It is an honor to serve as the Principal of Lake Forest High School (LFHS). As a Delawarean, I am a proud alumnus of several higher educational institutions within the State of Delaware. After serving in the U. S. Army for six years, I returned to Delaware to pursue my education endeavors. I obtained an Associate’s Degree from Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC) in Office Systems Technology in 1996. Shortly after completing my studies at DTCC, I enrolled at Delaware State University where I earned a Bachelors’ degree in Business Education in 1998. After serving in the capacity of classroom teacher for several years, I decided to revisit the premise on which my educational philosophy is built upon: “Learning is a lifelong process.” Knowing that this philosophy is the foundation of cohesive academic excellence, I matriculated at Wilmington University and obtained a Master’s degree in Applied Educational Technology along with certification in School Administration after completing a series of coursework at the University of Delaware. Currently, I am in the process of pursuing a Doctorate from Wilmington University in Educational Leadership.
To the students, staff, families, and community members, I am truly looking forward to working with each of you. It is my ultimate goal to provide an outstanding educational experience for each student that will promote academic excellence. The approach that will be undertaken will be vital in ensuring that we are meeting the educational needs of all of our students. I am proud to convey that our high school has some of the best faculty members in the state of Delaware, and we are proud to have each member be a part of our Spartan family. We also have an awesome and growing student population that will be afforded multiple opportunities to become actively involved in a plethora of activities, which will help promote and develop school spirit, good citizenship, career and college readiness, and academic excellence.
I am elated to serve in the capacity of Principal for Lake Forest High School. Serving in this capacity, I will earnestly employ best practices to exemplify the shared vision, mission, and goals of the District. The administration, faculty, and staff will always take measures to keep student achievement as one of our top priorities. Our students are our greatest asset, and the administrative team vow to implement educational practices to ensure that all students enjoy experiences that are rich and rewarding during their tenure at LFHS. In pursuit of becoming the best school district in the state of Delaware, collectively we will always epitomize this spirit and culture in the learning environment. In correlation to the words so eloquently spoken by the Late James H. Blades, “Isn’t it Great to be a SPARTAN”, we are indeed Your Best Choice!
Ms. Theadora White, Principal
