Mrs. Landon grew up in Hebron, Connecticut, a small town near Hartford. Upon graduation from high school, she attended the University of Connecticut, majoring in Latin American Studies. While at UConn, she studied in Mexico City for a semester. After graduating, she served in the Peace Corps for two years in the Dominican Republic. Always fascinated by the Spanish language and culture, she pursued Secondary Spanish Certification at Central Connecticut State University, and also obtained a M.A. in Hispanic Languages and Literature at the University of Massachusetts. She and her husband moved to Delaware in 1995, and joined the Spartan family. She has two high school aged children. She enjoys reading, hiking, and gardening in her spare time. When school isn’t in session, you might find her in a National Park hiking, or exploring another country with her husband and kids. Her advice to all students is to never be afraid to try something new and make a mistake.
