Ms. Matalavage still lives in Camden, Delaware and enjoys spending time with her dog, (Bella) making pastries, swimming, and her loved ones . Ms. Matalavage is a classically trained singer and has performed in many major works including Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mozart’s Requiem. She has also performed in small opera scenes. Ms. Matalavage believes it is important to continue practice in her craft in order to give her students the best, so she performs with the Lycoming College Baroque Chorus and Orchestra under the direction of Christopher Jackson and the Kent County Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. James Wilson at Wesley College. Her advice to all of her students is to treat each day like a fresh start and be the change you want to see in the world.
