Ms. Bullock was born and raised in Milford, DE and graduated from Milford Senior High School in 1996.  She attended the University of Delaware and earned a B.A. in Psychology in May of 2000.  After doing social work for nearly a year, Ms. Bullock realized that her real passion was for teaching, so she quit her nursing home job and went back to the University of Delaware full-time to pursue a degree in English Education.  Lake Forest High School was the first Delaware school for which she interviewed upon graduating in 2003, and she accepted.  After working for the Lake Forest School District for 3 years, Ms. Bullock decided to further her education by enrolling in the part-time graduate program at Washington College, and in 2007, she earned her M.A. in English.  She is now starting her 14th year in the same school and position. Ms. Bullock is the proud mother of a 5-year-old girl, who is a school-choice kindergartener at Lake Forest North Elementary.  In her spare time, Ms. Bullock tries to spend as much time with her daughter as she can, and the two of them enjoy going to the movies together, going apple picking, and playing outside.  Ms. Bullock is also an avid reader and has a book on her Kindle at all times.  One of her most important pieces of advice for her students is to try new strategies and not be afraid to break out of their comfort zones:  “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.”
