It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year at Lake Forest North Elementary School! I know you and your child are excited for the new school year.  I want you to know that I am too! This will be my twentieth in the Lake Forest School District. All twenty years were spent in the walls of Lake Forest North Elementary and I can say without a doubt, there is nowhere else I would rather work!

North Elementary has a strong tradition of excellence. Our staff is an incredibly hard-working and talented group of individuals that work daily to ensure that every student is challenged and grows both academically and socially. This task is made easier with the absolutely exceptional students that attend North Elementary. Our students come to school ready to learn and dedicated to their own learning. This is clearly a reflection of the parents and community who value education and partner with us to make the students successful.

At North, we believe that every child is born with great potential. We work collaboratively with our parents and community members to ensure that our students' basic needs are met so that learning can be fostered and continue to grow. Our staff is focused on providing the best education possible through the use of up-to-date technology, research-based instructional practices, data-driven decision-making, collaborative team planning, and high expectations. Behind every teacher is a team of dedicated staff that provides specialized support to the education process. This collective approach in our small, rural community has earned us several recognitions including: National Title I, Continued School of Excellence, and National Blue Ribbon.
