Dear Lake Forest South Families,

Welcome to our 2023-2024 school year! I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to all students, parents, teachers, staff, and stakeholders. It is an honor to introduce myself to you as the Assistant Principal of Lake Forest South Elementary. As the Assistant Principal, it is my privilege to contribute to the success and growth of Lake Forest South Elementary. I am looking forward to working with Mr. Truitt in making this another fantastic school year!

This school year will be my 10th year as a member of the Lake Forest School District. I began as a paraprofessional at Lake Forest South and then taught Kindergarten for several years at Lake Forest North. During the 2017-2018 school year, I was named the Lake Forest District Teacher of the Year. I am also a former Lake Forest graduate and I even attended South many years ago as a student!

As an educator with a passion for fostering student growth and cultivating a positive school culture, I am dedicated to supporting our principal, teachers, and staff in providing the best educational experience for our students. I firmly believe that a collaborative approach, involving students, parents, and the community, is the key to unlocking the full potential of our school.

I am certain that I am as excited as our students and staff for this upcoming school year. I cannot wait to welcome our South students back to school.  Please know that my door is always open. I whole-heartedly welcome your input as parents and community members and am looking forward to celebrating all of our wonderful successes with you throughout the upcoming school year.
