Assistant Principal’s Message
Dear Lake Forest South Families,
My name is Dawn Dick and I’m incredibly excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Lake Forest South Elementary. It’s truly an honor to join a school community that values strong relationships, academic growth, and the well-being of every child.
I’ve been in education for 27 years, and during that time I’ve had the chance to work as a teacher, mentor, interventionist, and instructional coach. No matter what role I’ve been in, one thing has always stayed the same: my passion for helping students grow, supporting teachers, and building strong connections with families.
My goal as Assistant Principal is to make sure every student feels safe, supported, and encouraged to be their best. I also want families to know that I’m here for you too. I believe that open communication and partnership between home and school make a big difference in a child’s success.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know your children and working together to make this a great year for everyone. If you ever have a question, concern, or just want to say hello, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for the warm welcome to the Lake Forest South community. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you and being part of the great work happening here. Let’s make it a fantastic year!
Mrs. Dick
