Request for Committee Members – LFSD Citizens Budget Oversight Committee

State legislation and regulation require that each local public school district form a Citizens Budget Oversight Committee. The role of the committee is to “oversee the financial position of the local school district.” The committee will have at least five members with representation from parents, educators and taxpayers residing in the district. At least two of the members must have formal educational or vocational backgrounds amenable to oversight of school district financial statements.


Killens Pond Ribbon Cutting

Superintendent, Dr. Brenda G. Wynder was honored to be invited to speak at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Killens Pond State Park, Water Park Improvements on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.  Four brand new, state-of-the-art water slides were previewed during this ceremony.  The slides are expected to open to the public on Friday, July 1st, just in time for the July 4th holiday weekend.  Click HERE to view photos from the ceremony and as well as the new slides!
