Good Evening Lake Forest High School Families!
On Wednesday, March 23rd, Lake Forest High School will host the SAT School Day for ALL 11th grade students. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors will have an asynchronous learning day and will not report to school. All assignments will be in Schoology.
Juniors: The SAT is a state-mandated test and all 11th grade students in Delaware are required to take the new, digital version of the SAT. On March 23, juniors will report to school no later than 7:20 with their fully-charged, school-provided laptop and a charger. Students should not bring any additional electronic devices, such as cell phones and smart watches, as they are not permitted in the testing room. The test will last the entire day. Transportation, breakfast, snack and lunch will be provided. Students may bring a water bottle and an additional snack. Students will need to review the following links before the test:
Test Security Video
Digital SAT information
Khan Academy SAT practice
Laptop repair requests should be submitted to the Technology Office by March 5 to allow time for repairs. Replacement chargers can be purchased in the Main Office for $40.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Mr. Reichenberg.

LFHS: Good evening, LFHS! Per the information you received from Dr. Lucas, our superintendent, LFHS students will be in remote learning beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, January 12th through Friday, January 21st. The remote learning day will consist of a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning. All scheduled classes will begin with direct instruction at the start of each block. The school day will be from 7:35AM - 2:30PM. Each class will begin with 30 minutes of direct instruction, followed by scheduled work and support time, where teachers will keep Zoom sessions open for the duration of class. We will follow the regular schedule daily. The enrichment schedule will not be followed. The schedule associated with this message gives more information. Specific class information and Zoom links may be found in the respective Schoology courses.
As scheduled, there is no school on January 17th or 18th and we start the second semester on January 19th. Students should look on HAC for their new schedule. Students will see new courses in schoology and will use the new links to meet their teachers and begin the semester.
If a student has an issue with their device, please bring it to the school and our technology department will pick it up and repair it as quickly as possible.
