Mr. Fournier is originally from Gouverneur, NY but took roots in Delaware when he was stationed at Dover AFB in 1989. He was a Security Policeman on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm from 1990-1991. Mr. Fournier remained in the U.S. Air Force Reserves when he was hired by the Delaware Department of Correction in 1994 and served as a Correctional Officer at Gander Hill (Howard R. Young Correctional Institution). In January of 1996, Mr. Fournier was appointed as a Delaware State Trooper where he served the citizens of the State of Delaware for more than 26 Β½ years holding positions as a School Resource Officer at Lake Forest High School, a Motorcycle Officer, and a Public Information Officer before retiring as a Patrol Sergeant on June 30, 2023. Mr. Fournier resides in Felton with his wife Rebecca and their two children, Sadie and Dylan and is actively involved in coaching little league baseball in Felton as well as ice hockey in Harrington.
