Lake Forest School District -

The Lake Forest School Board was honored to be addressed by Delaware Governor John Carney at last night’s Board meeting (8/24). Governor Carney gave thanks and encouragement to the entire Lake Forest team for the most recent results on state assessments where Lake Forest students showed growth on all measures when compared to 2022 state assessments. Lake Forest North Elementary 3^rd graders led the way by increasing their test scores by 15 points in both math and reading, and Lake Forest High School 11^th graders increased scores on all three sections of the SAT (EBRW, Math, and Essay). Dr. Mark Holodick, who also attended the Board meeting last night, complimented the District for the results and the way the District has addressed learning loss. Thank you to Governor Carney and Dr. Holodick for their willingness to personally visit our District. Congratulations to all of our students and staff for their great work!
