Lake Forest School District is excited to announce that the Kent County Post-Secondary Resource Fair will take place on March 19th at Postlethwait Middle School from 4-6 PM, for families with students ages 14-22, with IEPs or 504s. We invite families and students to attend so that they may gather information and resources from the guest speakers and various service providers from throughout Kent County. Thanks to the donations of many businesses and organizations, there will be FREE raffles for those who register at the LINK provided. For the last five years, the school districts of Kent County and many community-based organizations have been teaming together to create this event which provides information and resources in the areas of career exploration, career development, employment, education and training, and independent living. The registration link and list of participating organizations is below. The mission of this fair is to provide valuable resources that will allow students and their families to build an understanding of the services that are available in preparation for life after high school. It is not every day that WBOC comes to interview one of your students. Congratulations to our Chapter President Kailyn Pippin on receiving the Mountaire Farm to Table Scholarship worth $2,000 and is now in the running for an additional $5,000. Today Zach Evans came and interviewed Kailyn and a couple of the ag teachers. Tune into the news and Outdoors Delmarva this coming weekend to see her outstanding interview.

The Lake Forest boys basketball team will be playing at home tomorrow at 7 pm vs. Laurel in the 1st round of the DIAA State Basketball tournament. The girls team will travel to Odessa High School on Wednesday, February 27th at 7 pm for their 1st round game. All tickets must be purchased online https://gofan.co/event/1427755, this is a DIAA event, Lake Forest High School is just the host for this event. No school passes, sportsmanship passes, employee passes will be accepted for admission to the game. All tickets must be purchased online.
