Lake Forest School District hosted their annual Security Summit Tuesday morning at the Central Business Office. The event was coordinated by Lake Forest Student Services Supervisor Mr. Dustin Weller who said, โWe did this every year pre-pandemic so it was time to get back to meeting againโ. Leaders from the Lake Forest Central Office and all schools attended the event. Members from the Delaware State Police, Harrington Police Department, and Felton, Bowers, and Houston Fire Departments also contributed to the discussion. Topics covered included current safety and security best practices, the Lake Forest Constable initiative, and gaining community and stakeholder involvement in the safety effort. Throughout the Summit, attendees agreed there is nothing more important than keeping students safe and all pledged their commitment to doing just that.
Congrats to Spartan Seniors Brianna Hammond, Emilee Rau, Abby Snowden, Cody Klotz, Kyle Krokos, David Morris, Cheyenne Young, and Daisie Stevenson for receiving scholarships from the Felton Alumni Association!
