Lake Forest Community Education Foundation (LFCEF) recently awarded over $16K in grants and awards to Lake Forest School District staff members. These grants will assist with field trips, phonics, reading fluency and comprehension, life skills, community service opportunities, outdoor and hands-on learning, exposing students to various cultures and many other instructional activities. We are thankful for our partnership with LFCEF.

At tonightโs Board of Education meeting, County and State Fire Prevention poster and essay contest winners were recognized. Lake Forest had thirteen students place at the County level and several of those students placed at the State level. We are so proud of all of the students that participated. Student artists from each school were also recognized tonight for their artwork on the Board Holiday card. Thank you to Mr. Weller, LF North, for his help with both contests and congratulations to all of these students!
