🌳💙 Connecting Art, Nature, and Learning at Lake Forest East Elementary! 💙🌳

Led by Educator Ashley Melvin and Urban & Community Forestry Coordinator Taryn Davidson, students learned about the importance of trees in our environment — and then each helped plant one! Every student added their own shovel of dirt, making this experience both educational and meaningful.
This event was part of Mrs. Quinn’s yearlong nature-themed Art class initiative, designed to help students appreciate and connect with the world around them. The project grew from a Lake Forest Community Education Foundation grant and the relationships built after one of our third-grade Spartans won the Delaware Arbor Day Poster Contest last spring.

Together, we’re growing learning — one tree at a time!
